Escape to paradise with The Point, an off-the-grid clifftop retreat in the Banks Peninsula. Sea views overlooking Pigeon Bay, luxury design and a private swimming cove all make this a unique stay that will be remembered for years to come.
The space
Winner of Bach of the Year 2017 (Eco Category), The Point is architecturally designed by Warren and Mahoney to capture light and thermal energy, making it an eco-friendly holiday alternative. The design is just as luxurious as it is functional, having a spacious interior with industrial and copper accents, and two super-king sized bedrooms with sea views. Kick back by the large open fireplace for a cosy winter hideaway, or soak in the outdoor bath under the stars. On a summer’s evening head outside for the ultimate al fresco dining setting with an additional outdoor fireplace for the cooler nights.
At The Point you don’t even need to leave the property to have a relaxing break away. The sun-catching sheltered lawn and private swimming cove on-site provide ample opportunities for summer adventures, as well as plenty of picture-perfect spots for that evening glass of wine. Catch glimpses of sea views through the protective native bush and enjoy the bird song. If you do decide to set out on an adventure, Akaroa is just 20 minutes away. This is a gorgeous spot for day trips, where you can check out boutique shops, cafes and go on a harbour cruise.
Head away from the hustle and bustle, go off-grid and relax at The Point, your next eco-friendly escape.
